LEARN TO SCUBA at the Zelienople Community Park

Your open water certification is where it all begins! If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course. To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

Diving in Coral Reef

our 3 step
process

1 - eLearning

The first step in the entire process is your E-Learning.  When you sign up for class you will be assigned a course you can start right away!  This section takes roughly 7 hours to complete and will teach you all of the major lecture points in scuba.

2 - Confined Water

This is where we are able to jump into the pool and put the skills you were taught in E-Learning to the test.  We have several pools across the Pittsburgh area to choose from as well as a very flexible schedule.  There are 5 different pool sessions required - but often we can combine these into just a few days!

3 - Open Water Dives

By now you understand all the academics and scuba skills needed to finish the course - its time to go dive!  We have many options for our open water dives - but most divers complete the dive at a local quarry right behind the Grove City Outlets.  You are required to complete 4 dives over 2 days.  Once you complete these you are certified for life!
