  • How much does it cost? (Transparent Pricing)
Dive Shops often use difficult pricing and questionable tactics to squeeze their customers for every last penny. We wanted to take a different approach and publish exactly what you need to purchase at Mars Scuba. You are NOT required to purchase any equipment from us. Most people do, but it is not mandatory to take our course. The cost of our course is $500, and this includes: Your PADI E-Learning Your Pool Entry, Training, and Rentals Your Open Water Dives Not included in the $500 (See Below) Entry to the Quarry - This fee is paid directly to the quarry upon arrival. We use several quarries in the area and they are all priced differently. Most are in the $20 - $30 per day range. Open Water Rentals - We do not include the price of open water rentals in the cost of our course, most of our students invest in equipment and we do not want to double dip by selling them the equipment + charging them to rent it up front. Basic Package - $47.50 a day and includes 2 tanks, hood, gloves, wetsuit, BCD, Regulator, Computer, Compass. Personal Package - $40.00 a day and includes your Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots All items can be rented al-la-carte Most of our students buy their own Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Boots and only pay the $47.50 per day for both days of open water diving. What to expect to pay: If you purchase your Mask, Snorkel, Fins, and Boots - You would expect to about $450 (This is a very rough guess for mid range equipment, both higher and lower prices are available) for equipment, $500 for the course, $40 in Quarry Entry, and $95 in rentals for a total of $1085 If you do not purchase your Mask, Snorkel, Fins, and Boots - You would pay $500 for the course, $40 in Quarry Entry, $175 in rentals for a total of $715 What can change this price? While it seems common sense to us, we can only control our pricing. If you do complete your pool training with us then ask for a referral - it is up to the shop you dive with to set their own pricing.
